BG,

It's really late for me (1.23 am) so I'll be very short.
I'm happy that you and Seek came over to our thread (t8r's) and said hello. I'm all for putting our minds together. I remember seeing that document long ago.
I understand your desire to preserve your privacy.

All the best to all joopers.

So what if this time, just like last time, the tides are gonna rise in about two weeks? But unlike last time when Desmond eventually pushed the button, the tides are really really gonna rise? That would make the Losties catastrophically screwed, IMHO.

Oh, I like this. I've been having fantasies of Danielle and Hurley taking a road trip in the new car, with Sayid and Vincent eating sausages in the back seat and cruising for nubile Others with rigid t!ts, but now I'm switching gears with visions of them on the Black Rock sailing through the jungle.

Hurley: Yo - Sayid, matey, I'll give you twenty million bucks to shimmy up to the crow's nest and moon all those scurvy Others at the ferry dock.

Sayid: Come to think of it, if I reconfigure the oscilloscope I salvaged from the Swan, rewire the broken defibrillator Danielle caught with her ingenious banyan root fishing pole, and can remove the engine and propeller from the Beechcraft the next time we float over the Pearl, I can reverse engineer the flux capacitor of one of the many dipole antenna arrays in the trees that are fortunately now at eye level and, if I've correctly triangulated the signal --

Danielle: (knocking Hurley out of the way) Lookout! Merde!

(too late -- a bird flies over lucky Hurley and sprays a sticky deposit on his head.)

Danielle: (turns as a grey parrot perches on her shoulder) Well, well, it's that wayward parrot, Brennan, coming home to roost.

Brennan: (squawk) No place like HOME! No place like HOME!

This is for Lucky

Hi, I admire all your work and your theories. I hope you can get back on your feet quickly after the loss of your hard drive.
I was wondering if you remember seeing something in the smoke as it retreats out of the hole it wanted to take Locke into. I saw a screen cap on another forum that had 2 or three visible heads in it. The person describing the screen cap said they were kids.
The other question refers to the Whisperers. Are you familiar with the Whispers thread on the Fuselage? I think you might be. There are some transcripts that suggest that there might be dead people involved, like Boone. How would you include that in your theory about kids and remote viewing?

Hi Lightcan, I just read this -- thank you so much -- you made my day, even in the middle of the night!

Drat, I wish I had my trove of screencaps to go back and look, but I do remember making screencaps of that and discussing it. So yes, I did see images in that smoke, especially after they threw the dynamite into the hole. I can't remember if I saw kids, but now I'd be interested to go back and look. I try to refrain from going on about this, but I'm absolutely certain that there are layered images of kids in scenes in the jungle and scenes with the smoke, visions, etc. They are all over the place, and very consistent in the way they're presented and positioned, looking through scopes and viewers.

I never believed in the idea of remote viewing as something they'd use on the show until I started seeing this stuff, but now I can only think that somehow they're training kids (maybe special kids to begin with, I have no idea) to use the magnetic field strength, whatever "material" is unique to the island, and their "mind's eye" to manipulate and create things on the island. I am literally only going by what I'm seeing, I haven't figured out how it works, but I'm piecing it together somewhat. I'll post more when I have screencaps. Even though no one ever sees what I see in my screencaps, I always wait until at least I'm sure of what I'm seeing.

Re: the Whispers, I've read the Fuselage thread avidly and my thinking is that the Whisperers are the remote viewers (the kids) and the adults who are working with them. It's the adults who speak, mostly, but once in a while it seems that a child pipes in. I also think they're stationed in more than one place (maybe those CV stations). There may be one central location from which the smoke is operated, but I think the rv kids are strategically placed.

I don't know what to think about the dead people. My thought would be that the voices are just imitating expressions heard (through rv) from Boone, etc. in the past, not that the dead are present themselves. But who knows.

Tomorrow I'll get out my dvds and look at Exodus and the smoke. I'm curious!

By the way, do you have a link to the thread where the poster saw the kids in the smoke? Now that's one thread I'd like to read!

Hi Lucky,

It's not a thread about the Smoke, it's about the crash, so it might not be what you're hoping for. Have a look at the Wraith kids:

http://www.lost-forum.com/showthread.php?t=21692&page=2

It says in another post on that page that the time stamp is 46.18. I think that's for that screencap.

Hi Lucky, great bad fiction scenario!

I've had a little bad fiction on the brain, too. Maybe a little something featuring Benry and Hurley. "Crouching Omelette, Hidden Bacon."

You've just given me a thought:

I used to study the transcripts of the Whisperers, too ... but I never connected it with the smoke. Doesn't it seem that the smoke imitates what it's seen it the same way that the Whisperers imitate what they've heard?

Of course, the smoke apparently can read a person's thoughts. Have the Whisperers shown that ability? Perhaps.

Could they both be manifestations of the same thing? Are the whispers and the smoke the same thing? Hmmmm ...

Then maybe the wild, unseen children are "sick" with psychic abilities, and being led by Patchy. Our Others are trying to defeat him.

I'm impressed too! I don't know how to make a video, let alone mix the sound for it. And they also wrote their own lyrics and sang on that video! Wow is right!

Hi all, long day at work today. Yuck. Work is evil.

Captain, I checked my local listings and the pbs station isn't airing Magic Pan tonight, but it's on this Saturday.

Zen, that video is wild!

Old Politico, I used to have a theory about the whispers, but right now I can't remember what it was.

Sneaker! Glad you made it back! I've been thinking about you all week. Sit down by the fire and warm your toes.

I've got the dogs fed and bedded down. And for you there's brandy, cigars, and anything you want from the kitchen. Wicked cold out, eh?

It's cold! Brrrrrrrrrr

Although it's probably a little early to be thinking about our next move, I'm voting we take the Joop Castle someplace warm next time.
