Maybe we could get them to film some of our bad fanfic stories!

I have no idea captain! But they would do a fantastic job with your guys's bad fanfic stories ! That would be a blast to see for sure ! Cheers !

CES is a really big electronics trade show for computer and commercial electronics they have in Las Vegas every year. Here's their web page:

http://www.cesweb.org/default.asp

Bill Gates usually shows up to speak there, along with a lot of other big names & announcements.

Good afternoon, Joopers!

Thanks for the kind words about my finding that pesky key. LOL, I don't know what it is with me and keys.

Drat, my broadband connection must be slow right now. The youtuber's are taking forever to load. I'll try again later.

History channel tonight? Book of the Dead? I'm there!

I just saw that the History channel has a program on tonight called Decoding the Past about the Tibetan Book of the Dead!

Arggh, it's not on in my area tonight. They're showing Snackfood Technologies. But it's on this Saturday.

I figured they were something big. Wonder how much they paid to have Evie, Josh, Michael and Naveen do that clip?

LOL, I won't be able to leave the house at all this Saturday. Book of the Dead in the am, Magic Flute in the pm, and then there's this week's '24" which I haven't watched yet, and "Travellers and Magicians" which arrived today. Oh, and the last two chapters of "Watchmen."

Dear Joopers, I've missed several weeks of being on this site and reading all your ideas, but trying to catch up.
Running from the Others! Keys! A car! Danielle back! I can't wait!

(I am still recovering from an accident, hospitalization, and surgery. The doctor says I should get the last cast off the end of March, then PT to practice walking again. I'm getting better every day.)

Seek,
Thank you for your good wishes. The first month was unbelievably painful. Now it's settling into deep bone aching. And, my hubby won't even bring me my knitting needles I ask for. Guess he knows I'll use them to relieve itching inside the cast. He says that's a "No-No".

I've been catching up on LOST theories and speculations. Got to admit, any of it seems plausible. But, TPTB just could go in any direction and blow me away.
Just so they don't kill off Jack, Kate or Sawyer. Please!

Hi Island Lilly, I'm so sorry to hear of your accident - I was wondering where you'd gotten to and I was starting to worry about you. I'm glad to hear you're on the mend, however.

Maybe some new episodes of LOST and some tinfoil speculating will be just the thing to take your mind off your casts and to help you through the recovery period.

Welcome back! And by the way, circle Feb 28 on your calendar. I think that's the episode Danielle first reappears.

Morning, BG and all,
Feb 28 it is. I think of all the background stories, I want the most to see about Ben and Danielle. Ben because he's so twisted; Danielle because she has such hope, courage and resourcefulness. I'm anxious to have a Danielle / Alex reunion.

Hi Island Lilly, my two favorites are also Danielle and Benry. A year ago I said the day they show Danielle's flashback (and why oh why Brennon took the keys) I would no longer need to watch the show. All my dreams would have come true. But with the introduction of Benry, I now have a second reason to watch the show.

Can you imagine a flashback with both Danielle and Benry in it? Oh dear me! I'd need an ambulance on standby.

Zen: Thanks for the link of Sawyer & Jin BG! Do you think the magic bus was the DeGroot's?

Very possible, Zen. Here's a spoiler pic that was posted yesterday that clearly shows a Dharma logo on the front of the magic bus where normally the VW logo would go. I can't make out what's in the middle of the Dharma logo but I don't think it's a swan.

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/01/dharma-vw.html

Going by the Dharma logo and the vehicle's age, it's for sure from the DeGroot's era. Whether they actually drove it or not I cannot say.

But yikes! That pic of the skeletal remains has been added since I posted the link this morning. I wonder who that could be? Can you tell if the skeleton thingy has both arms? If not, is there another corpse laying around? Is this one wearing a khaki Dharma uniform? Oh dear me!

I can see one arm & hand of the skeleton, but can't make out a second arm...I think we need Lucky's eagle eyes to make that determination. It would be almost too coincidental if the arm/hand with the rabbit's foot and key turned out to be this skeleton's missing limb. Another question--why would the skeleton be left there? Wouldn't someone come to find a missing person or the magic bus? Is the magic bus in an area where smokie hangs out? Not too sure what to make of all this.

Hi Zen, I agree that Lucky's eagle eye would be helpful. I can't make out too much regarding the arms. But as for your other questions, yes, I think someone would come looking for a missing person or bus. This is weird.

Okay, assume for the sake of argument that this was one of the last Dharmas and there was nobody to come to the rescue. But for all we know this could be someone not Dharma related. Still, why would someone sit down on the outside of the bus and then die there? Dharma beer suicide? Why would the skeleton still be undisturbed after all this time? Doesn't add up.

I think the most likely answer is the corpse was perhaps inside the magic bus. One of our Losties moved him outside and propped him up where he sits. I dunno. I wish I knew if this one is missing the arm. It's hard to come up with a scenario with so little to go on - rather, it's hard to come up with a scenario that incorporates all this crazy stuff.

OK back awhile on spoiler fix they had a synopsis of Not in Portland that said:

This episode will feature Edmund Burke, a smug in his 50s who has a laboratory in a university, who is the type to divorce his wife to date a young woman in her early 20s. He likes to take credit for other people's work. Also in the episode is Albert Hofmann, a highly selective recruiter for a bio-tech company

Now according to abcmedianet:

Guest starring are Robin Weigert as Rachel, M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly/Tom, William Mapother as Ethan, Blake Bashoff as Karl, Tania Raymonde as Alex, Michael Bowen as Pickett, Ariston Green as Jason, Teddy Wells as Ivan, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Steve Labrash as morgue employee, Kimberly Estrada as Sherry, Rob McElhenney as Aldo and Zeljko Ivanek as Edmund

Albert Hoffman was the discover of LSD and Richard Alpert is now known as Baba Ram Dass and from Wikipedia:

Dr. Richard Alpert (born April 5, 1931), also known as Baba Ram Dass, is a contemporary spiritual teacher who wrote the 1971 bestseller Be Here Now. He is well-known for his association with Timothy Leary at Harvard University in the early 1960s, both having been dismissed from their professorships for experiments on the effects of psychedelic drugs on human subjects.

You think they're yanking our chain here, coincidence or have I eaten one to many pyschotropic Apollo bars?

Hi Lucky, LOL at you living Spirited Away. Who knew Studio Ghibli would take over your life?

As for film recommendations, I haven't seen many theater films this winter so I'm not much help. However, for sheer, glorious spectacle nothing tops 'Curse of the Golden Flower.' I think it's nominated for costume and set design Oscars. But the story is convoluted and somewhat unsatisfying, IMHO. Still, there's all that fabric. Miles and miles of sumptuous silk fabric.

Speaking of movie recommendations, Captain, today I'm going to be watching the one you recommended, 'Travelers and Magicians.'

I was doing some digging and it turns out a documentary has been made about the director, Dzongsar Khyentse Norbu Rinpoche, called 'Words of my Perfect Teacher.'

This is becoming as intriguing and complicated as LOST.
